It's the fifth meeting of the Northern Virginia chapter of the Business Executives Networking Group -- "BENG." Launched in southern PA a decade ago, BENG is a voluntary association of business professionals founded on "members helping members."
NO COST to attend, but you'll fare better with an array of info...
HOW IT WORKS: (1) Each participant delivers an "elevator speech." (2) Then, and also as part of the general back & forth, you can share recent breakthroughs, mishaps, and mysteries. And (3) please be ready to spell out which companies, trade associations, hospitals, agencies etc. you seek contacts in, or would welcome a better perspective on.
WHAT TO BRING: (a) A "tent card" with your name to place on the table in front of you; a lapel sticker is okay as substitute; (b) 20 copies of a one-pager featuring skills, objectives and contact info. When you distribute this page at the start of your five-minute talk, fellow attendees are better able to deliver feedback and share tangible leads.
RSVPs should go to chapter leader HeatherRosen@thebeng.org while questions or special requests can go to Frank Gregorsky at 703 281-1674.
The Northern VA chapter of BENG was launched on October 9th of last year. The parent website is http://www.thebeng.org/.
