Let's Welcome 2018

Our resolution of 2018 should be return to God and spread Love and peace. by noor-ul-ain naeem

New Year is a holiday that everyone celebrates in their own way. The ways of celebrating are different depending upon cultures and regions. However, the purpose is same, that is, to say goodbye to previous year and welcome the New Year.
In order to celebrate New Year, people party all night or they go to watch fireworks, and they make resolutions. They promise themselves not to repeat all the old mistakes that they have committed the prior year because New Year is taken as a beginning of the new journey and they want to start it in a better way. The resolutions they make, help them to achieve all the goals during the year ahead.
2017 was great for some people but some people suffered. We need to overcome the problems that we had due to various reasons. The biggest problem that we are suffering from is not having peace in the world. If we start today it will take a long time. Therefore, we should start from this year if not today.
As an eight year old Ahmadi Muslim girl, all I want to requestfrom the people who are celebrating New Year’s Eve is that we should start this year with prayer for mercy on the world from God. Motto of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is “Love for all hatred for none”. I feel we all should as individuals implement this motto in our daily lives. Instead of just partying, start your New Year by forgiving all, and if someone hurts you pray for them instead of taking revenge.
May God have mercy on us and bless us in 2018 and in the years to come, and may He enable all of us to actually make 2018 better by our actions. (Amen)
