Local Businesses Assist Women's Club with Upcoming Silent Auction
When the Clifton Community Woman's Club, local homeowners and local businesses work together, the CCWC Homes Tour has a priceless impact.
From autographs to antiques, portraits to purses, local businesses have generously supported the Clifton Community Woman’s Club’s Homes Tour every year to help the Club raise funds for local charities, scholarships, and food banks. The 44th Annual CCWC Homes Tour will take place on Thursday, May 19, 2016. Along with four impressive homes in Clifton and Fairfax, the Tour will also feature a silent auction at the Clifton Presbyterian Church. Local business owners are essential to the success of this event. Variety keeps this silent auction lively: gift baskets from home-based businesses, special hand-crafted items from skilled artisans, gift certificates for a special occasion, and more. Silent auction visitors know they are helping the Club’s 501(c)(3) Charitable Trust, and auction items spotlight local businesses to the 500 Homes Tour visitors. When the front doors shut and the auctions close, the real winners are the local charities, scholarships and food banks. With approximately $25,000 in donations every year, the CCWC counts on this Homes Tour and Silent Auction to continue such a generous distribution to the community and asks local businesses to consider how they can help. For more information about the CCWC Silent Auction, please contact Daniele Robbins, robbinsdaniele@yahoo.com or Trish Mandes, trishmandes@cox.net. General Homes Tour information is available at www.cliftoncwc.org. Ticket sales begin in April online and in select stores.
