Local Businesses to Help With Annual Homes Tour for Charity
Sponsors and Advertisers needed to help a local club raise funds for scholarships, shelters, and other local charities
When generous homeowners, local businesses, and members of the Clifton Community Woman’s Club work together, the local community wins! The Clifton Community Woman’s Club (CCWC) presents the 45th Annual CCWC Homes Tour, Silent Auction & Market Place on Thursday, May 18 from 9:30 AM- 4:00 PM. The event draws approximately 500 visitors, offers guided tours of elegant Clifton and Fairfax Station homes and historic properties, and raises about $25,000 each year to benefit local scholarships, food banks, shelters, and charities through the Club’s 501(c)(3) Charitable Trust.
The Club is seeking local business owners who wish to sponsor and advertise their businesses to the Homes Tour visitors. By being a sponsor, purchasing advertising space in the ticket book, or donating items to the silent auction, local business owners are the main source of the Tour’s proceeds. The Homes Tour Ticket Book is a 5 x 8 inch booklet containing information about the homes on the Tour, as well as the Silent Auction held at Clifton Presbyterian Church. It also features sponsors and other ads for local businesses and services. Sponsors receive a full-page ad in the Ticket Book, as well as an internet presence on the CCWC website, a link to the sponsor’s website, an invitation to the Homes Tour Reception, recognition in publicity and at the Tour homes, and two complimentary tickets. Sponsorship levels begin at $175, and individual advertisements begin at just $35. Hurry! The deadline is March 1 for sponsorships and advertisements, and May 1 for Silent Auction items. For sponsorship and advertising questions, please contact bvworek@aol.com. A copy of the 2017 Homes Tour ad contract is available at www.cliftoncwc.org. For Silent Auction questions, please contact Trish Mandes, 703-250-7573, or Jenna Rutledge, 703-378-6420.
Ticket sales begin in April at local businesses and through the CCWC website at www.cliftoncwc.org.
