Local Homes Tour: a Mother's Day Gift That Benefits Our Community
The Clifton Community Woman's Club presents the 45th Annual Clifton Homes Tour on May 18, and there's even more to explore this year.
While flowers are lovely, and candy is good, time is the most valuable gift of all. For 45 years, mothers and daughters and best friends have enjoyed a leisurely day together, all for a good cause. The 45th Annual Clifton Homes Tour, Silent Auction & Market Place on Thursday, May 18 is a tradition in Clifton and Fairfax Station. Hosted by the Clifton Community Woman’s Club, this Tour attracts approximately 500 visitors, is sponsored by local businesses, and allows the Club to donate about $20,000 to local scholarships, shelters, food banks, and charities.
The Mother’s Day gift of a ticket to the Homes Tour allows visitors to tour elegant homes in Clifton and Fairfax Station, including a home with a luxury RV and premium motorcycle collection. Is someone in your life a fan of Scarlet O'Hara? Don't miss the home inspired by the book. Breezy porches on a scenic hill and lovely antiques make another home a must-see. History and quiet moments await at the historic Clifton Primitive Baptist Church with fascinating facts from an expert guide. New this year, watch a wreath making demonstration and shop for baubles, bangles, and beads at our new Treasures and Trinkets at the Clifton Masonic Lodge. Take a shopping break at the Silent Auction and Market Place at the Clifton Presbyterian Church. Hint: several golf outings are available, perfect for moms, dads, and grads. The 45th Annual Clifton Homes Tour, Silent Auction & Market Place will be held Thursday, May 18. Tour: 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM. Silent Auction and Market Place: 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Clifton Presbyterian Church. Proceeds benefit local charities and scholarships through the Club’s 501(c)(3) Charitable Trust.
