A Lonely Road I Will Call You

Meeting someone you loved down a lonely road

When Megyn Kelly's Nana died recently, she was about 95 and her husband had passed on several years before her. She now left a note to him that said " lonely road, I will call your name." I presume she was letting him know she was meeting him now and she would come down the lonely road to see him and they would no longer be alone.

I knew her from Megyn mentioning her Nana often. She had two children, one Megyn's Mom and Megyn's brother and she had several grandchildren who she loved very much. Megyn cried when she talked about her last night and that she had passed on and she had a great bonding with Megyn and she said she turned on the show every night, 5 days a week to see if her granddaughter was doing OK and she sometimes, did not understand what they were talking about, but seeing her was a joy.

When I was married 56 years ago, we were supposed to wear a plain gold wedding band and if when the ceremony was over, you could put on another one with some diamonds on it and keep the plain gold one for the other hand if you wanted it. I put my plain one in the drawer and never wore it.

A few days ago, on October 12th, Columbus Day, I put it on to celebrate the first day of the first date in 1957.

I could still fit it on the other hand, not the wedding band finger, because, it is Arthritic and so it is a bit not straight.

So, my lonely road is not a lonely one yet. My ring fits, though my wedding dress does not, but this is OK.

Keep your lonely road by itself and someday, if you believe this, than you shall meet someone who is gone and who is important to you and you will see each other on the road of greeting.
