Man, 22, Charged in Fairfax Station Bank Robbery

Authorities have charged a 22-year-old Springfield man in connection with a robbery earlier this month at a Fairfax Station bank. 

Jeffrey B. Koch was served with an arrest warrant on Friday, Nov. 25, police said. Police in Colonial Heights, Virginia received a tip about the case.  

The robbery at the BB&T branch at 8920 Village Shops Drive occurred at about 3 p.m. on Nov. 21, police said. The robber handed the bank teller a note and implied a weapon. The teller handed over cash and the suspect fled.

Koch is now in jail in Colonial Heights, Va., but extradition proceedings are anticipated, authorities said.
