New Heaven New Earth Church Hosts Summer Blood Drive with Inova During Blood Supply Crisis

FAIRFAX, VA, August 29, 2026 — New Heaven New Earth Church held a large-scale summer blood drive at Inova Blood Donor Services in Fairfax and across the East Coast, aimed at strengthening the region’s blood supply during a period when donations are especially needed due to a blood supply crisis.

Held at the Inova Center for Personalized Health in Fairfax, the blood drive brought together more than 150 donors to support patients throughout the local community. The Fairfax campaign was coordinated alongside blood-donation initiatives by New Heaven New Earth congregations across the East Coast. More than 300 donations were given during this event, across VA, DE, PA, FL, MA, and NC. Organizers said the collective effort reflected the church’s belief that faith should be demonstrated through practical acts of service.

The event in Fairfax was part of an ongoing commitment between New Heaven New Earth Church and Inova Blood Donor Services to strategically organize major blood drives during times of heightened community need. The church plans to continue holding at least two blood drives each year during times of greatest need as a way for new and existing members to serve their neighbors.

Barbara, a patient and blood donation recipient shared the real impact that blood drives like this have, saying: “I am so thankful for organizations like New Heaven New Earth Church that collaborate with Inova for blood donation. As a recipient who receives blood, I am incredibly grateful for the lifesaving treatment that is made possible by those who donate. It’s amazing. You’re impacting communities and even helping save lives, such as mine, each and every single day.

The blood drives also came at the same time the church is facing unjust religious controversy and legal persecution abroad. Church representatives said that despite these challenges, congregation members remain committed to supporting their neighbors and contributing positively to the communities in which they live.

Phil, a volunteer and donor at today’s blood drive, shared: “We are here to shine a light to our community and take all our faith within the church and put it into action by giving blood and saving lives. Despite the fact that there are hardships happening within our branch churches in South Korea, we are still here to show our service and compassion especially during the summer months. It was a really great turnout today!”
