Police: Man, 21, Charged With Carjacking

Abdullah Alghamdi was charged in the Jan. 13 incident at the post office on 5616 Ox Road in Fairfax Station.

A 21-year-old man was charged with carjacking after he got in an argument with a family member outside of a post office and forced his way into a stranger’s car. 

Abdullah Alghamdi, of Lorton, was charged in the Jan. 13 incident at the post office on 5616 Ox Road in Fairfax Station.

According to authorities, Alghamdi got into an altercation with a family member near the post office. He ran out of the car he was in and encountered a 60-year-old man entering his 2003 Subaru Outback.

Alghamdi pushed the man out of his vehicle before driving away in it, police said.

A warrant was issued for Alghamadi. He was taken into custody at about 4 a.m. in Arlington County and was later transferred to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

Police said the car was found at a parking lot in Dulles International Airport.
