Registration Open for 9th Annual Warrior Run/Walk Supporting Wounded Warrior Project

Versar, Inc. and Halfaker & Associates, LLC, are hosting the 9th Annual Warrior Run/Walk 4.7M in support of Wounded Warrior Project. The event will take place at scenic Burke Lake Park, on Sunday, October 4th, and 100% of registration fees will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.

Over the course of the eight-year history, the event has had over 1,600 participants and raised nearly $125,000 for wounded warriors and their families.

The mission of the Wounded Warrior Project is to honor and empower wounded warriors. The purpose of the organization is to:

• Raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of severely injured service men and women
• Help severely injured service members aid and assist each other
• Provide unique, direct programs and services to meet their needs

Participants can either run or walk the 4.7 mile scenic loop around Burke Lake and there will be many activities for the entire family to enjoy.
