'Shop with a Sheriff' Program Gets Donation
The program helps fund school supplies for children.

A $1,000 donation from Liberty Mutual Insurance will help fund the Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office “Shop with a Sheriff” program.
The program pairs deputies and staff on a shopping spree for school supplies at the Target store in Burke on August 29. The children receiving the school supplies are currently living at the Katherine K. Hanley Family Shelter in Fairfax and the Patrick Henry Family Shelter in Falls Church.
In 2011, the 25 participating children each had $300 to spend and received a backpack.
