Smile From Your Heart and Eyes

I never had any grandmothers, Mom's mom was gone before I was born. She had seven children, two blind and one deaf. She had her life full with children and being a widow. My dad's mom was also gone. So I was so envious of my girlfriends who had two grandmothers.

Steven Behr's grandmother said that people smile from the heart and in her case, she smiled with her eyes. Steven gave me a compliment when he said " you, Elita are definitely in that category." "I want you to show off that inner spirit and energy you have." This is a splendid compliment and I do not know if I really deserve it.

Some women now get extensions to their eyelashes. It makes them have very long and seductive lashes. Now, in some salons, they have employees who take courses and get certified to do it. Once, about thirty years ago they were featuring that extension feature and I tried it. I did look very sexy, but it was hard to wash your face and etc. The owner said I looked so beautiful, he wanted to feature my picture with the lashes for an ad. I said no, I did not want anything really on my lashes because it could cause infection.

There was a song when I was thinking of having a singing career and I gave a sample of me singing at that time. It was called Smoke gets in your eyes. So now I have my inner spirit and energy mentioned above and pretty healthy except for my arthritic knees and I had my time in lots of competitive ballroom dancing and 58 trophies for my competition days and this is all fine with good memories, dance shoes, photos and trophies spread all over my house to remind me of those beautiful moments.
