Take Your Dog to Work Friday

Some pet owners will be taking their dogs to work on Friday as part of National Take Your Dog to Work Day. 

The annual event came about in 1999 to celebrate dogs and encourage pet adoptions. Pet Sitters International, a trade organization for pet sitters nationwide, started the event. Now thousands of companies nationwide participate.

Companies that want to register for the event can take a look at the “action pack” on the Pet Sitters International website. The organization’s website also includes frequently asked questions about bringing pets to work.
