I was looking for something to write about other than ballroom dancing, grandchildren, being a senior, getting a crooked tooth pulled and a wonderful replacement and dozens of other things.
Then I came across a beautiful saying that my one and only nephew has on his Facebook. His name is Michael Jeffrey Sohmer, a pharmacist by profession and a good soul in his spare time. He devotes days and weeks going to countries that need medicines and other medical help and he gives of his love for others, less fortunate people to supply them with much needed drugs and assistance they would not have received in their war torn countries.
He, I kid him that I am his only real aunt and he is my only real nephew. He said he was going to do " things to nourish my soul." I imagine he meant his wonderful things that makes him happy and his work professionally and his volunteer work.

When he was about six months old, his sister got the measles and his dad brought him to our house where my Mom was going to take care of him, because it was contagious. My boyfriend, now my husband of 56 years came to pick me up for our date. I showed him this beautiful little boy, my nephew and he said " when my niece was this age, she was walking." I knew he was kidding, my Dad said " that is not true."
Michael is a grown man and he gives of himself to humanity and to life and I am proud to be "his only real aunty." Elita Sohmer Clayman Fairfax Station Patch
