Traffic Alert: Graduation Ceremonies to Cause Delays
Expect delays around George Mason University while the Patriot Center holds graduation ceremonies

Twenty-one graduation ceremonies will take place in the upcoming weeks near the Patriot Center at George Mason University’s Fairfax Campus.
With each ceremony bringing in between 3,000 and 5,000 people, you’d be that there will be heavy traffic to and from campus in the hours leading up to the ceremonies taking place at the center at 4400 University Drive in Fairfax. The University sent out a notice earlier this week warning motorists to expect delays.
To avoid the traffic, officials recommend using the entrances less traveled including Shenandoah River Lane off Roberts Road or George Mason Boulevard off University Drive.
