When I was a little girl, we wanted to own our books, not ones from the public library. You wanted to own fresh and new copies of the current books. Looking back this was a simple request to yearn for.

Now days there are Ipods, CD’S, big boom boxes, phones that have cameras on them for instant photos,

designer clothes that cost a lot of money and bought in expensive department stores, cellular phones and anything you can wish for.

We had nice shoes, when I was working, I had a pair of high heel shoes custom made. Oh how gorgeous they were and when I went to pick them of at the shoe department and tried them on, I knew I was Cinderella getting ready to go to the Ball. I took Mom to the buffet style to enjoy dinner with me. It was called Horn and Horn. You slid your tray along the railing and chose what you wanted. Mom was so happy and we both chose the same main dish and veggies and dessert. I chose a nice slice of apple pie and had it wrapped it up to take home for Dad and carried it home on the bus. Oh how happy he was. Next time I'm will take him to dinner and have it with us.Cinderella could not have been happier.
