Fairfax County Government has released what will be open and closed over the next few days:

County Government:

• Dec. 23-26 – Closed 
• Jan. 2 – Closed

Courts:

• Dec. 23-26 – Closed 
• Dec. 30-Jan. 2 – Closed

Public Schools and School Offices:

• Dec. 23-Jan. 2 – No school for students and teachers
• Dec. 23-26 and Dec. 30-Jan. 2 – Twelve-month personnel off

Libraries:

• Dec. 23-26 – Closed
• Jan. 1-2 – Closed

Fairfax Connector:

• Dec 24: Saturday schedule
• Dec. 25: Sunday schedule
• Dec. 26: Sunday schedule
• Dec. 31: Saturday schedule
• Jan. 1: Sunday schedule
• Jan. 2: Sunday schedule

Fastran:

• Dec. 23-26 – Not in service
• Jan. 2 – Not in service

Park Authority:

• Dec. 25 – All facilities closed.

County Trash and Recycling Collection: For residents receiving Fairfax County collection service for trash and recyclables, there will be no alterations to the county collection schedule due to the holidays. Trash and recyclables should be placed at the curb by 6 a.m. on your regular collection day to ensure that it is collected.

Recycling and Disposal Facilities at I-66 and I-95:

• Dec. 24 – Closes at 1 p.m.
• Dec. 25 – Closed
• Dec. 31 – Closes at 2 p.m.
• Jan. 1 – Closed
