Calling Future Foster Parents!

Northern Virginia Family Service's next foster parent training starts September 12

Becoming a foster parent is a wonderful choice for many different people, and Northern Virginia Family Service recognizes its depth and importance by providing strong and caring support to its foster families. In addition to the initial three-session training, NVFS provides:

  • Intensive training, certification and continuing education opportunities
  • Careful child/parent matching
  • Ongoing support and 24-hour help from professional social workers
  • Help locating support services for the children and youth in our program
  • Family activities and support groups
  • Parents Only section of the website providing training and resources
