Early Morning Crash Knocks Out Power To Parts Of Falls Church
A vehicle crash early Friday morning knocked out power to a part of Falls Church, including Mary Riley Styles Library.

FALLS CHURCH, VA — A vehicle crash early Friday morning knocked out power to a large part of Falls Church, including the Mary Riley Styles Library.
According to the City of Falls Church, Dominion Energy arrived on the scene around 3:30 a.m. after a vehicle hit a utility pole near 300 North Washington Street, according to Tysons Reporter.
Due to the power outage, Falls Church City Hall is on partial power and will have limited services on Friday. The Mary Riley Styles Library will be closed Friday, the city said.

The Falls Church Community Center, which did not lose power, will be open. The city is offering the community center's art room for residents without power to charge their devices and use WiFi. Masks and social distancing are required inside the community.
The public will not have access to the gym and other rooms at the community center where the city is setting up for its Holiday Gift and Craft Show on Saturday and Sunday.

According to the Dominion outage map, the power outage is affecting an area adjacent to North Washington Street and north of W. Broad Street. The outage extends northeast to W. Columbia Street and northwest to N. Virginia Ave.
Power is expected to be restored by 6 p.m. Friday, according to Tysons Reporter.
