Redeemer Renaissance Preschool

Register now for the 2026-27 school year! Serving families in our community since 1962, Redeemer Renaissance Preschool provides premiere early childhood education for children ages 1.5 - 5 years old. Classes for 2's, 3's, and 4's are offered for mornings and all day. Good Beginnings, a class for children and their caretaker, is offered for children 1.5 years - 2.5 years. Children learn and flourish as they wonder and learn, building a foundation to ensure their success through use of the Creative Curriculum, vetted by the Virginia Department of education. The curriculum is play-based and with nature-based components incorporated, promotes healthy development in children as they discover and explore in our outdoor natural play area.﻿﻿ Small classes led by experienced teachers can be found singing, jumping, building, making friends, painting, writing, counting, and observing chickens hatch as one of their STEM projects in the Learning Lab. Days when the weather is too cold or rainy find classes in the full-size indoor gym and fellowship hall. Children find joy in activities such as riding trikes, building with large manipulatives, designing and testing obstacle courses, running, throwing balls, and playing games. Families of preschoolers are partners with staff, engaging with their child's teachers and attending events for children and families scheduled throughout the school year. Join the McLean Art Society for the Opening Reception of our annual Art Show &amp; Sale, a beloved community event featuring original artwork by talented local artists.

Celebrate the start of the show with an evening of art, conversation, and community. Browse a diverse collection of 2D and 3D art while meeting the artists behind the work. Enjoy complimentary wine and refreshments and discover one-of-a-kind pieces available for purchase.

Throughout the weekend, visitors can explore a wide variety of original artwork, find unique gifts, support local artists, and enter our popular art raffle, which will be held during the show.

Join 48 Blocks Fine Candy for our final Makers Matinee pop-up of the season this Saturday, June 13, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. We are opening our manufacturing studio (on the Falls Church/Tysons border) for a morning of fresh coffee, premium sweets, and community.
We are thrilled to be collaborating with our friends at Cafe Medrano, an exceptional family-owned Honduran coffee roaster. They will be in the studio pouring fresh, artisanal small-batch coffees—the ultimate pairing for our confections.
Inside the Studio Experience:

The event is completely free and open to the public, but claiming a slot helps our tiny studio team map out exactly how many fresh samples to prep.

Nathan’s Cancer Slayers, a local Arlington fundraising team under Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, invites the community to Cocktails for a Cause — An Amalfi Coast Evening on Sunday, June 14 in Georgetown. ✨🍸
This inaugural silent auction will bring together friends, neighbors, and community supporters for cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and a fun silent auction — all raising funds for childhood cancer research in honor of Nathan Fleming, an Arlington student who passed away from rhabdomyosarcoma in 2019, just one week after turning 18.
Nathan was an Arlington student and alum of Jamestown Elementary, Swanson Middle School, and Washington-Liberty High School. His mom, Michele Fleming, formed Nathan’s Cancer Slayers under Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation in 2020, and the team has raised more than $775,000 to advance childhood cancer research.
This year’s auction will support promising research led by Dr. Valter Longo at USC and Dr. JinSeok Park at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, with the goal of moving this work toward clinical trials for children within the next 2-3 years.
Guests can attend the event in person, browse and bid online from anywhere, or make a donation directly. Auction items include luxury getaways, VIP experiences, local packages, handcrafted items, and more.
Every ticket, donation, and auction bid will be matched 1:1 by Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation up to $30,000, doubling the impact of community support.&nbsp;💪
