'Naked Burglar' Arrest Video Used By Police To Promote Connect Fairfax County Program
Fairfax County police say camera footage helped detectives identify and arrest the accused "naked burglar," who remains in custody.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — “This naked burglar didn’t know he was on camera,” Fairfax County police said Wednesday, sharing a video on its official X account hat highlighted how community security footage helped detectives identify and arrest a Centreville man accused in a string of nude burglary incidents.
The post promoted Connect Fairfax County, a public safety program that allows residents and businesses to register security cameras with the Fairfax County Police Department or integrate cameras so police can access feeds during nearby emergencies. Basic registration does not give police direct access to live video, but helps investigators know where cameras are located and request footage when needed, according to the FCPD website.
“Camera footage linked through Connect Fairfax County provided detectives with their best image of the suspect, helped generate leads, supported overnight surveillance efforts, and ultimately led to his arrest,” police said in the X post.
