Falls Church Man Dies In Arlington Boulevard Crash: Police

The pedestrian was struck while crossing Arlington Boulevard outside a crosswalk, according to police.

FALLS CHURCH, VA — A pedestrian died in a crash on Arlington Boulevard in the West Falls Church area Friday, according to Fairfax County Police.

The crash happened around 10:12 p.m. near the intersection of Arlington Boulevard and Graham Road. The pedestrian was crossing from the south side of Arlington Boulevard outside a crosswalk near Graham Road when a 2012 Ford Fusion heading east on Arlington Boulevard struck him in the left lane.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead. He was identified as Ramakant Bhusal, 36, of Falls Church. This was the county's third pedestrian fatality in 2021.

The driver remained on scene of the crash. Detectives do not believe speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.
