Falls Church Moped Driver Killed in Hit and Run at Seven Corners
Eliseo Hernandez Diaz of Falls Church died Friday night at the scene. The driver who hit Diaz fled the scene, police say.
Fairfax County Police are investigating a fatal hit and run crash that took place Friday night in the Falls Church area, according to a news release issued Saturday afternoon from FCPD.
At approximately 9:05 p.m. on Friday, police responded to the report of a crash at the 6700 block of Wilson Boulevard. Detectives from the Crash Reconstruction Unit Responded.
The preliminary investigation determined that a 2013 Tao Tao moped being operated by Eliseo Hernandez Diaz traveling eastbound on Wilson Boulevard was struck by a 2007 Volkswagen sedan.

Officers later located the 2007 Volkswagen sedan parked near the location of the crash. The driver of the Volkswagen fled the scene.
Eliseo Hernandez Diaz, 36 of Falls Church, died at the scene.

No charges have been placed at this time but the investigation continues.
