Fatal Hit-And-Run In Bailey's Crossroads Prompts More Charges
A hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian has led to more charges for the driver, according to Fairfax County Police.

BAILEY'S CROSSROADS, VA — A driver is facing additional charges in a July 8 crash that killed a pedestrian in Bailey's Crossroads.
Benjamin Lopez Encinas, 33, of Woodbridge, was charged with aggravated DWI manslaughter and felony hit-and-run on Sunday. He was previously charged with DUI and remains held without bond.
The crash happened around 2:13 a.m. on July 8 on Columbia Pike at Powell Lane. Detectives believe a driver of a BMW was heading east on Columbia Pike and struck a pedestrian.

The driver did not stop at the crash scene, according to police. The pedestrian was identified as Luis Fernando Jimenez Rodriguez, 26.
Police located the vehicle nearby in the 6100 block of Marshall Drive and arrested Lopez Encinas. He remains held without bond.
