Now, fearing another nuclear catastrophe and hoping to transition to renewable energy in the future, some energy-intensive countries are shutting down nuclear reactors and using more hydrocarbons. Carbon pollution is increasing alarmingly while renewable energy remains in the future. Many leading climate and energy experts promote a new generation of nuclear power reactors as a bridge solution.
