Furniture Painting Classes Available: December 14, 2014 at 4:00pm

All Classes are hands on painting classes taught in our bright upstairs classroom at THE STUDIO CENTER, 920 West Broad Street in Falls Church. Be sure to wear painting clothes to any class. Classes are all taught by the owner, Joni – unless specifically noted. There are two specific perks of taking the class (besides having a boatload of fun and learning more that you thought you could.) You will receive 10% off paint and painting supplies on the day of your class. You will also be able to stop in THE STUDIO CENTER at any time during regular business hours to practice. If there are colors you can’t decide on, come on in and use our paint and practice boards and try out your ideas. There is no expiration date on this perk.

Furniture Workshop – Want to breathe new life into old, worn-out furniture? Then join us for this relaxed, fun and informative workshop. Bring a SMALL piece of furniture (nightstand, chair, small side table, large decorative frame) and transform it during this class. You will learn single color painting application, distressing and neutral wax application. You’ll leave the class with a beautiful, finished piece of furniture and the confidence to transform all your projects! Class sizes are small – be sure to secure your space. We will provide all material and a light snack. Cost is $95.00

Painting 101 – You will learn about the makeup of chalk paint and why it’s different from acrylic. You learn all the techniques necessary to create your own beautiful heirloom at home. I will show you the proper application of paint, distressing, and finishing. These steps will prepare you to take furniture painting to the next level. You’ll take home a hand painted color sheet, sample boards and confidence to tackle your project. Lunch is provided for day classes and wine and light snacks are provided for evening classes. Cost is $135.

Advanced Techniques – In this class, we will go beyond the basics and build on the skills learned in the Painting 101 Class.. You will learn many different finishing techniques including stenciling, embossing and dry-brushing. You will also learn about painting with metallics, glazing and crackling. You can dabble with milk paint, learn how to make Faux Chalk Paint. With this class you can create just about anything your imagination can provide. Lunch is provided for day classes and wine and light snacks are provided for evening classes. Cost is $135.

Girls Night Out – Sip and Dip – Dip your paint brush, that is. All you need to do is grab a friend, sign up and show up. I’ll do the rest. While we listen to music, sip wine (or sparkling juice) you’ll be painting up a fun project to take home. Choose between many items to paint and take home, including frames, vases, wood plates and bowls and more. Of course, you can bring something from home if you like. It’s a perfect opportunity to catch up with friends, meet some new friends and get your creative juices flowing. All material included. Cost is $50.00
