Historic Falls Church Tour Set for Saturday, September 20
Five of the City of Falls Church's most historic properties will be on tour to benefit historic preservation.

On Saturday, September 20, five of the City’s most historic properties, including three private homes, will be open during the HISTORIC FALLS CHURCH tour. Included in the tour are: The Falls Church (1799), Cherry Hill Farmhouse (1845), Mount Hope (1830/1870), the DePutron House (1893), and the Henderson House (1910). Costumed docents will be at each house to provide historical information about the house and, more importantly, the people who lived there and played important roles in the history of Falls Church. Guided tours of The Falls Church will be held at 9:30, 10:15, 11:00, 12:30 and 1:15. And, a special exhibit of antique clothing will be on display at Mt. Hope. All other properties are open from 9:00 – 2:00 p.m. This is a great way to see some lovely properties, hear about their unique history, and help with historic preservation efforts at the same time.
