Lake Barcroft Ice Skating? Unsafe, Fairfax County Authorities Say

In response to a question from the Washington Post after a Falls Church photographer snapped a photo of skaters on Lake Barcroft, Fairfax County authorities say it is unsafe to ice skate on the lake.

“You have to have at least two weeks of below-freezing temperatures,” Renee Stilwell of the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department told the Post.

Photographer J. Larry Golfer of Falls Church sent a photo he took over the weekend to a reporter at the Post.
