Laundry Room Double Homicide Leads To Charges For 2 More Teens

Fairfax County Police have made two more arrests and added charges in the drug-related robbery that turned into a double homicide.

IDYLWOOD, VA — A double homicide involving a shooting and stabbing in an apartment building's laundry room in the Falls Church area have led to charges.

Four suspects have been charged in connection with the fatal shooting and stabbing that injured two others in the 2200 block of Pimmit Run Lane on Monday, May 29. Jonas Skinner, 20, of Ashburn, was found in the apartment building's laundry room with an upper body gunshot wound and was pronounced dead on scene. Braden Deahl, 18, of Arlington County, was found with upper body stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Fairfax County Police believe the double homicide was related to a drug-related robbery and was not random. On Monday, police charged a 17-year-old from Falls Church with second-degree murder, felony murder, conspiracy to commit murder, use of a firearm for murder, use of a firearm for robbery, use of a firearm for felony murder and use of a firearm by a juvenile.

An 18-year-old male from Falls Church, who was a juvenile at the time of the homicides, was charged with robbery causing death, principle in the second-degree murder, felony murder, conspiracy to commit robbery, use of a firearm for murder, use of a firearm for robbery, use of a firearm for felony murder, and use of a firearm by a juvenile. He is being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center without bond.

Another 18-year-old from Vienna who was previously arrested faces more charges. The 18-year-old, who was a juvenile at the time of the homicides, was charged with robbery causing death, felony murder, and conspiracy to commit robbery in connection to Skinner's death. He was previously charged with robbery resulting in death and is being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center without bond.

The fourth suspect, Vladimir Garcia Montes, 18, of Falls Church, remains held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center on robbery resulting in death charges.
