Our guest speaker will be Erik Altieri, who serves as Communications Director for National NORML; also an update on legalization in DC.

Next Thursday, October 2nd, come on out to a groovy new meeting venue, American Tap Room in Clarendon. Mr. Altieri is one of National NORML’s registered lobbyists and has lobbied and helped run grassroots campaigns in support of federal and state bills on marijuana reform. Erik also serves as a spokesperson to the media, and has been quoted or has appeared in many establishment print and televised media outlets. He will be able to answer ANY question you might have about what national NORML does, why it needs your support, and what you can do on the local level to achieve crucial law reform!

We will also be discussing the upcoming Virginia Cannabis Conference, to be held in Williamsburg on November 1-2. For more details, check out the website. If you’d like to attend, but hope to economize, this meeting represents an opportunity to find a carpool and someone to split a room with!

Meetings last from 8pm until 9:30pm, but please show up around 730 to meet a few folks and order some food and drink. And folks often stay afterward to discuss ways to get more involved.
