October Exhibits at Gallery Underground

During October, Gallery Underground features a new exhibit of members’ work in the Main Gallery, including sculpture, glass, ceramics, jewelry, watercolor, oil, acrylic and mixed media. Featured artist this month will be iconographer and Gallery member, Laura Clerici.

Also, the Focus Gallery presents paintings by fourteen professional painters who met 28 years ago as graduate students in the MFA painting program at American University. Their media is quite varied and includes oil, collage, acrylic, encaustic, watercolor and mixed media.

Sharing insights about their work and lives, they have continued to meet once a month for nearly three decades in critique sessions across distance and place. They have helped each other get better, to see more. Come and view the fine work of this special community of artists!

Opening Reception: Friday, October 2, 5-8pm Gallery Hours: M-F 10am - 6pm, Saturday 10am - 2pm. Metro accessible. Parking is available in metered spots on nearby streets and in public garages, which are free all day Saturdays and after 4pm on weekdays.
