Opening Reception "facevalue" Solo Show by Brandie Adams-Piphus

New Exhibit at Gallery Underground Opens Friday, April 1

Join us for the Opening Reception of "facevalue" on Friday, April 1st, 5-8pm. During April, Gallery Underground features “facevalue,” a solo show by Brandie Adams-Piphus featuring digital portraits in the Focus Gallery. The artist states: " As a digital painter, I work with a pen tablet to mimic brushwork…using illustration software to draft portraits in the same manner a painter applies paint to canvas, starting with a blank computer screen. My primary focus is on portraiture, and this body of work explores issues related to womanhood, beauty, sexuality, and identity as they are defined by gender roles, skin color, and race identity The public is invited to meet the artist and enjoy some refreshments. The exhibit continues through April 29.
