Passport to the World: Moch Pryderi

A Live World Music Performance

Moch Pryderi is a Welsh-American band with a pan-Celtic flair from Fredericksburg Virginia. Together for 16 years, the band performs as a trio, quartet, or quintet. The band features Mary Triola on the rare Welsh triple strung harp, whistles and flutes, Bill Reese on the Welsh Pibgorn,Welsh bagpipes, Breton Bombarde and Celtic-bouzouki, Rik Rice on percussion. Over the years the band has produced 4 CD’s: “Dancing in the Pigsty”, “Belly Jerk”, “Jig Moch” and “Moch IV”.

Moch Pryderi has performed widely on the east coast, including the Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., The Celtic Classic in Bethlehem Pa., the Philadelphia Folk Festival, the Washington Folk Festival, the Fredericksburg Welsh Festival, the Philadelphia Welsh Festival, the Historic Rugby Tennessee Festival of British & Appalachian Culture, the Celtic Nations Heritage Festival in Lake Charles Louisiana, the Welsh Heritage Center in Wymore Nebraska, and the North American Festival of Wales in Cleveland Ohio. The band has made frequent appearances at First Night events in Winchester and Fredericksburg.
