Passport to the World: Shenandoah Run and The Moondiggers

A Live Music Performance

Saturday, April 18 at 7:30PM

Shenandoah Run—think New Christy Minstrels with a contemporary flair—is a nine-member folk group from the Washington DC area that has been performing for 3-1/2 years. Their individual musicality, vocal and instrumental talent, combined with a strong desire to keep folk music alive and fresh, have proven key to the group’s success. Their repertoire features the songs and sounds of American folk, country, and bluegrass music, with the occasional infusion of songs from other lands. Their blend of vintage and contemporary folk music, treated with lush, vocal harmonies and skillful instrumental backing, defines what is becoming their signature recognizable sound. Their arrangements are fresh, varied, and unique, and are delivered in a manner that delights audiences of all ages.

Shenandoah Run has become a staple at a variety of venues in and around the Greater Washington metropolitan area and beyond. They have become a favorite act at multiple venues. This performance will be the eighth time we have hosted them and, as always, we are looking forward to another great evening of great folk music.
