Police: Body Found Floating in Lake Is Falls Church Man
Kenneth Duane Bernhardt, 36, died from drowning in Kingstowne lake, Fairfax County Police say.

The body of a man found floating in a Kingstowne lake over the weekend has been identified by Fairfax County Police as a Falls Church area man, police said Monday afternoon.
Police identified the body using fingerprint evidence, they said. The Northern Virginia Regional Identification System (NOVARIS), Investigative Support Division, notified Homicide detectives that the body was that of Kenneth Duane Bernhardt, 36, of Falls Church.
The Office of the Chief Medical examiner determined that the death was a drowning that was not criminal in nature.

Police have not revealed why Bernhardt was at the lake.
Fairfax County Police detectives are continuing their investigation Monday.

Police responded to the report of what appeared to be a body in a pond on South Van Dorn Street near Kingstowne Village Parkway on Saturday, shortly after 11:30 a.m.
Officers arrived and located the body of an adult male in the pond. Homicide and Crime Scene detectives also responded to the scene.
Initially, there were no obvious signs of trauma to the body, police said.
