Popular Regional Art Exhibit Scheduled for November 8 & 9

Each year hundreds of visitors flock to the annual St. Andrew's Fall Art Show & Sale in Arlington, Virginia.

One of the region’s most popular annual art exhibits is scheduled to take place on November 8th and 9th at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Arlington. Each year, the Potomac Valley Watercolorists (PVW) hang approximately 250 original works of art and draw a crowd of around 300 regional art enthusiasts.

“Before I became a member of PVW, I would come to the show each year and was simply amazed by the quality and diversity of the work that was presented,” says exhibit co-chair and artist, Rob Henry. “This year we’ll have around 50 or more juried members participating. In addition to being able to purchase artwork, it’s a great opportunity for the public to meet the artists and talk to them about their work.”

This year’s show is titled “Joy of Watercolor” and will include a People’s Choice Award, allowing visitors to vote for their favorite piece of art in the show. The exhibit will also celebrate the organization’s 40th Anniversary with the sale of their 188-page book highlighting the artwork and artistic processes of 175 members. The group will also present their newly released organizational video.
