Parent Health Conference Planned for November

FALLS CHURCH, VA—Preemies Today will be hosting a parent and provider conference entitled, Navigating the Journey Through Childhood. The conference objectives are aimed at educating people regarding maternal and child health needs. It will take place at Inova Fairfax Physicians Conference Center in Falls Church, Virginia on November 16, and will include sessions on developmental delays, sensory processing disorders, postpartum post-traumatic stress, nutrition, and speech and language tips to name a few of the scheduled topics. Pre-registration is suggested. All proceeds from the event will benefit Preemies Today.

Registration includes:

· Access to two general sessions and four break-out sessions

· Breakfast and lunch

· Free parking

· Networking with other health professionals and preemie parents

Preemies Today is a volunteer-based organization whose mission is to advocate for families experiencing the traumatic event of a premature birth. Founded in 2003, Preemies Today provides parent-to-parent support, educational lectures, NICU baby showers, NICU Care bags, and social opportunities for families affected by prematurity. Registration fees are $15 for early bird pricing through October 16 and will then increase to $25.
