S. West Street Detour Starts Wednesday: City
The closure is due to a precursor project that will repair stormwater facilities.

The South West Street roadbed reconstruction project (www.fallschurchva.gov/SWestSt) officially starts in September, and a precursor project has begun that will repair stormwater facilities in the City of Falls Church.
Starting Wednesday (August 5) and lasting about two weeks, the street will be closed at all times to through traffic from Parker Street to Madison Lane.

Local access will be permitted: access to driveways will be maintained and trash and recycling collection will take place as regularly scheduled. The detour will take drivers on Parker Street to Ellison Street to Madison Lane (see map).
Parking restrictions are in place on Madison Lane and S. West Street.
