Songs become paintings before your eyes in unique showcase of area talent, August 2nd @ Jammin Java

Painting The Music brings together award-winning musicians and local artists in afternoon of interactive art

Vienna coffeehouse hosts hundreds of concerts throughout the year but none quite like the artist/musician collaboration happening the afternoon of August 2nd. Painting The Music brings together four area musicians and four local painters for a showcase in which the visual artist paints an entirely new work of art on stage using inspiration from the first song of the musician’s set. The energy from the crowd becomes of the art as audience members are encouraged to interact with musicians and artists, becoming the third arm of a creative triad. The paintings will be auctioned off during a Meet & Greet immediately following the show. Northern Virginia singer-songwriter Dan Fisk founded Painting The Music in 2012 and the event is now held as a regular performance series at different locations throughout the DMV. Musicians performing at Jammin Java on August 2nd include:

Dan Fisk - 2014 Washington Area Music Association Award (WAMMIE) nominee for Best Pop Rock Vocalist and Best Pop Rock Recording - www.danfisk.com

Kipyn Martin - Washington Area Music Association New Artist of the Year - www.kipynmartin.com
