Stolen Car, Larceny From Vehicles Reported In Falls Church: Police

City of Falls Church Police responded to a number of incidents over the past week, including a stolen car and items taken from vehicles.

FALLS CHURCH, VA — City of Falls Church Police responded to a number of incidents over the past week, including a stolen car and items taken from vehicles.

Last Thursday, a car was stolen on E. Broad Street between approximately 5:10 p.m. and 5:50 p.m., according to police. The suspect opened an unlocked locker, removed a set of car keys, and drove off with the victim’s car, police said.

The suspect is described as a man wearing a dark blue or black short and short, and carrying a large backpack.

Between 8 p.m. on May 17 and 7:15 a.m. last Wednesday, items of value were stolen from a car on Poplar Drive.

Two cars were tampered with on E. Broad Street last Friday. In one of the cases, a car on E. Broad Street was damaged between 8:30 a.m. and 4:20 p.m. by unknown suspects.

In the other case, a car was broken into and damaged between 8:30 a.m. and 4:20 p.m. on Friday. Items of value were taken from the car, police said.

On Saturday, between 3:30 p.m. and 8:10 p.m., a car on E. Broad Street was damaged and valuables were stolen from it, police said.

In another case, a license plate was removed from a vehicle between 9 p.m. on Friday and 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Two unknown suspects took items of value from a business. Suspect one was described as a tall Black male wearing dark clothing and a covid mask. The second suspect was a shorter Black male wearing light clothing and a covid mask.

Shoplifting

W. Broad St., May 21, 6:30 p.m.

An unknown suspect removed items of value without payment. Suspect described as an older Black male approximately 50 years of age wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans and a face mask.
