Sunday, Oct 4th: Demographics as Destiny

How changing population flows are shaping 21st century politics and culture

Don Yacoe, a healthcare journalist and academic, will lead a discussion on how dramatic recent changes in population flows, including unprecedented immigration on a global scale, is changing politics, religion, and culture.

Part of the Sunday Science, Reason & Religion Forum Series, the presentation will take place in the Sanctuary Building at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Fairfax, 2709 Hunter Mill Rd. in Oakton, VA on Sunday, October 4 at 12:30pm.

Don Yacoe has been an academic, journalist, and government official. He has worked in health care policy and journalism for the past 17 years. He is currently launching a company that provides an online community for sports and healthcare professionals, focusing on personal wellness.

Previously, Yacoe was Director of Communications at George Mason University’s Center for Health Policy Research and Ethics (CHPRE) and a faculty member in GMU’s College of Health and Human Services. He has also worked with the U.S. Department of State on global health issues as Senior Communications Advisor to the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).
