Swastika Appears On Falls Church School Playground: Police
A teacher found a swastika slashed into a playground canopy, according to Falls Church Police.

FALLS CHURCH, VA—Falls Church Police say an elementary school playground was vandalized with a swastika.
The vandalism happened at Mount Daniel Elementary School between 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 22 and 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 25. Police say someone slashed the fabric of a playground canopy into the shape of a swastika.
A teacher found the anti-Semitic symbol, and the school immediately removed the canopy. The superintendent notified parents at the school. There is no suspect information available.

"The City of Falls Church takes acts of anti-Semitic vandalism very seriously," said Police Chief Mary Gavin in a statement. "Our community will not stand for this unacceptable crime of hatred. We urge anyone with information to reach out to us immediately."
