Taste Of Falls Church 2022 Winners Chosen By Judges, Attendees
Four restaurants won awards at the Taste of Falls Church, where restaurants offered tastes at the Falls Church Festival.

FALLS CHURCH, VA — Restaurants competed for judge's and people's choice awards at the Taste of Falls Church at the Falls Church Festival Saturday, and four scored awards.
The Best Overall Menu award was a tie between Café Kindred and Taco Rock. Café Kindred served up a Brunch poutine, Curry Chips, and Cornbread and Chili. Taco Rock's food menu included its Pollo Taco, El Gringo Taco, Baja Shrimp Taco, Carne Asada Taco, Veggie Taco, Elote, and Chips and Salsa.

The Best Overall Taste went to Island Fin Poke, which offered a Mini Tuna Poké Bowl, Mini Spicy Tuna Poké Bowl, Mini Chicken Bowl, Dole Pineapple Soft Serve, and Dirty Chips.

The People's Choice Award, voted on by attendees online, went to Harvey's. The restaurant offered its Deviled Eggs, IPA Honey Braised Brisket Slider, and King Oyster Mushroom "Pulled Pork" Slider.

Judges selected the Best Overall Menu and Best Overall Taste awards after sampling dozens of entrees, sides, desserts and drinks. The judges included Falls Church Education Foundation Gala winners Justin and Randi Kieffer; Falls Church Mayor David Tarter, and Red Jacket Cooking School chef and owner Matt Finarelli.

Nearly 13,000 visitors attended the Falls Church Festival, according to the city. Participating restaurants at the Taste of Falls Church were Audacious Aleworks, Baddpizza, Café Kindred, Clare and Don’s, Harvey’s, Hot N Juicy Crawfish, Island Fin Poke, Lazy Mike's, Mark’s Pub, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Open Road, One 1ea Taiwanese Cafe, Solace Outpost, Taco Rock, and Thompson Italian.
