Veterans In Falls Church Area Encouraged To Learn About Benefits
Veterans can attend a Virginia Department of Veteran Services presentation in Falls Church to learn about benefits.

FALLS CHURCH, VA — The Greater Falls Church Veterans Council invites veterans to a presentation from the Virginia Department of Veteran Services to earn about benefits.
The presentation on veteran benefits will be held at the Falls Church Community Center (223 Little Falls Street) Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The Virginia Department of Veteran Services is a commonwealth department that connects Virginia veterans and their families to federal and state benefits as well as support and care.
The event is hosted by the Greater Falls Church Veterans Council, which advocates for the interests and legislative needs of veteran organizations in the City of Falls Church, Fairfax County, Commonwealth of Virginia and U.S. Veterans Administration. The council was formed in 2003 by representatives from the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Catholic War Veterans. According to Dave Crance, chaplain at VFW Post 9274, a significant amount of Fairfax County's estimated 80,000 veterans are in the greater Falls Church area.
