TYSONS, VA — Linden Property Group has acquired a 217-unit apartment community in Tysons, marking the Arlington-based firm's largest acquisition to date and its first investment in Fairfax County in more than a decade.

The multifamily real estate investment firm announced Thursday that it partnered with Washington, D.C.-based Akridge to purchase Tysons Crossing, formerly known as Eaves Tysons Corner. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Located within walking distance of the Greensboro Metro Station, the apartment community provides residents with access to Tysons' employment centers and the wider Washington metropolitan area.

Renovations Planned for Tysons Community

Linden Property Group said it plans to launch a capital improvement program that will include renovations to apartment interiors, upgrades to amenity spaces, landscaping enhancements and exterior improvements.

Company founder and managing partner Wade Casstevens said the acquisition reflects the firm's confidence in Northern Virginia's workforce housing market.

"Tysons Crossing represents an important milestone for Linden Property Group and reinforces our conviction in the long-term strength of workforce housing across the Northern Virginia market," Casstevens said in a statement. "With its metro-centric location, strong fundamentals, and significant opportunity to enhance the resident experience through thoughtful capital improvements, we believe this community is well-positioned for long-term success."

The purchase is Linden's first acquisition in Fairfax County since 2014 and its third joint venture with Akridge.

Investment Reflects Continued Interest in Tysons

The acquisition comes as investors continue to target transit-oriented multifamily properties in Northern Virginia, particularly communities that offer access to Metrorail and major employment hubs.

Linden said the investment aligns with its strategy of acquiring well-located apartment communities where renovations and active management can improve the resident experience while supporting long-term value.

Several firms participated in the transaction. CBRE coordinated the sale and financing process, while Northern Virginia-based Kettler will oversee property management and the transition. Grossberg, Yochelson, Fox & Beyda LLP served as legal counsel. AvalonBay Communities sold the property.

Founded in 2010, Linden Property Group specializes in acquiring, renovating and operating multifamily communities throughout the Mid-Atlantic. The firm said it has acquired and managed 28 apartment communities totaling more than 3,300 units.
