Antique Rifles Stolen From VFW Post
Fredericksburg police: No sign of forced entry in theft last week.
An unknown burglar broke into the local Veterans of Foreign Wars building last week and made off with a number of antique rifles.
The burglary occurred at some time between the night of Thursday, Jan. 29, and 7:45 a.m. Friday, Jan. 30, at VFW Post 3103, 2701 Princess Anne St., according to a Fredericksburg police report. A VFW representative told police that an unknown person broke into a locked gun cabinet and stole the rifles.
There was no sign of forced entry into the building, police said, and an investigation is ongoing.
