Author Lisa Gardner Signs Books and Donates $10,000 to Rescue at Tales & Tails Book Cafe

Author Lisa Gardner joined Christine Bowman, co-owner of Tales & Tails Book Café, for puppy cuddles with Old Dominion Humane Society (ODHS) rescues on August 8. The New York Times number one bestselling author was in town to sign her latest book, “You’ll be Sorry,” for a long line of customers. Tales & Tails owners Bowman and Hunter Bufkin sponsored the “Lisa Gardner Puppy Litter” and named them after characters in the author’s books. Gardner donated $10,000 to ODHS rescue dogs.

ODHS is located at 3602 Lafayette Boulevard in Fredericksburg. Adoption events are Wednesdays from 5-7 p.m., Fridays from 6-8 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Application surveys submitted in advance are preferred and take priority over walk-ins.
