Burglary of Firearms Dealership Thwarted in Fredericksburg: Police

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Two men carrying large storage bins were rebuffed early Tuesday morning trying to break into the SSG Tactical firearms dealership at 610 Westwood Office Park, according to Fredericksburg Police.

Officers responded to the scene around 5:40 a.m. for a report of possible vandalism to the front door. Upon arriving, they found the glass on the front door shattered and a lock on the metal cage damaged.

Video surveillance footage showed that a U-Haul van pulled up to the store, and the two suspects got out and used a tool to shatter the glass and then used the same tool to disable the metal cage.

The couldn't do it. The entire attempt lasted about 90 seconds.
