As a trainer there many tools in our toolkit, various collars, leash, harness,treats, poop bags, a change of clothes, shoes & socks. What's NOT in our bag of tricks is the retractable leash.
Why you ask? Let us count the ways:
1) It's easy for the handler and/or the pup to become entangled.
2) Should the "handle" of the retractable leash fall it can scare the pup and or worst hit & hurt the pup.
