Deputies Plan Traffic, Safety Enforcement for Halloween

The Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office will be increasing enforcement on Halloween, according to Sheriff Roger Harris.

There will be several additional units patrolling Halloween night, including bike patrol deputies, traffic division units and special details supplementing standard patrols.

“We will be on increased alert for any criminal activity that may endanger persons or property,” Harris said.

Deputies will also be offering free X-rays of candy and food at the General District Courts Lobby, 9119 Courthouse Rd. The machine will detect metal objects hidden in items.
